Lauterbrunnen is just a 15 minute drive from Interlaken located at the foot of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. The unique countryside is an ideal area for both summer and winter holidays. Lauterbrunnen is a quiet, traditional village located on the rail-link between Wengen, Murren and Interlaken, making it an ideal base for touring.

The Hotel Silberhorn is a delightful three star hotel situated in the heart of the village. The house is in a very quiet area, away from the main road, yet only 2 short minutes from the railway station. Private parking is available on our premises for 40 vehicles.

The recently extended dining room provides a spacious and elegant atmosphere while maintaining the warmth, character, and intimacy of the original building. There are two lounges (one which is non-smoking), a first floor television lounge and 30 comfortable individually designed bedrooms complete with satellite TV, radio, alarm clock, and hair dryer. Many of our rooms have balconies from which to view the magnificent scenery. Our helpful English-speaking staff offers the very finest professional Swiss service.

Breakfast is an extensive buffet that always includes hams, cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, and much, much more. Every night, dinner consists of four courses, plus a large and colorful salad buffet and cheese board.

In winter, our location offers the advantage of a ski piste that leads right up to the door. Both Murren and Wengen are easily accessible. The Hotel Silberhorn has a shorter walk to its lifts than many other hotels in the surrounding villages. An added bonus is the wide selection of return routes. From Grindelwald, you can either ski back, or return by train. From Murren, it is possible to ski to your back door, use the convenient funicular, or take the cable car via Stechelberg.

Owned and operated by Christian and Annemarie von Allmen, the Hotel Silberhorn has been family owned for generations. The von Allmen family looks forward to making your stay feel just like home.
